5 Stars Complete Bladesmith-Forging your way to perfection
As a beginner this was the book I was looking for, the title says it all “The Complete Bladesmith”. Very comprehensive and informative.
5 Stars A good read
So far I have found this book to be very straightforward, easy to understand, and quite helpful. Not only do I find it informative, but I enjoy reading it too.
5 Stars Complete Bladesmith: Forging Your Way To Perfection
This book is about how to make knives by different materials, for example 1050 steel. It’s a quite good book, especially for beginners with reasonable price. Highly recommended to all!
4 Stars Good but dated information.
A great book for the beginner, but not to be taken as a metallurgical point of reference. Antiquated theories such as ‘edge-packing’ and other misconceptions are taught in this text. This is not a problem, assuming the reader does enough research - either before or after reading this book. It offers great explanations of techniques, complete with well-explained drawings, diagrams and pictures, as well as plenty of good information on intelligent shop layout, tool selection, etc.
Certainly worth owning, just BEWARE the dated information!
5 Stars Helpfull and perfect !
When i received this book i see much more detais, and contents that i have expected. Details about the forge to the finishing of a sword. I’m a new blacksmith in pratice but i recomend this book to anyone who want to progress in the art of bladesmith !

5 Stars The Arts of the Sailor: Knotting, Splicing and Ropework
I bought this for my son - he just purchased his first sailboat. He loved the info and that it is such a compact size - he can keep it on the boat for quick reference. Though not as complete as “The Ashley Book of Knots” it does cover the basics. Great for beginners!
3 Stars Missing arrows
A generally informative book, but…..
some of the directions refer to diagrams with arrows showing the direction of the rope. No such arrows!
Overall fair to good diagrams and interesting history, but I think I would have bought a different book had I known what was missing.
5 Stars The Arts of the Sailor
This book has some of the most clearly articulated and illustrated instructions I have ever encountered.
5 Stars This book should be owned by every sailor
A great book chock full of interesting ideas to make your boat more seamanlike. The definative rope working book.
5 Stars great book
This is an excellent resource book and we will use it a lot….

5 Stars URBAN TREASURE HUNTER
I haven’t read it because it was given as a gift. But the book was in excellent condition and arrived quickly.
4 Stars Nice book for the beginner
My husband has had a metal detector for a few years now, but has not really put it to use. I found this book on his wish list (been there for a year) and decided to get it for him for Christmas. He is already making lists for how to search for treasures based on information in the book. This tells me that he is finding it of value.
5 Stars Good for Even the Experienced
I have owned and used metal detectors since the early 80’s and compared to a lot of books on the subject (that turn into adds for a particular detector manufacturer) I have found this book very useful and have picked up a few pointers and techniques
3 Stars Hoping for more
I was hoping for a little more technical stuff with this book. It talks
about old buildings, privies, new construction sites, and etc. to look for
things. I wanted techniques in the handling of the detector. Not so much as
where to go. To me, it’s a book about common sense. Overall, I would
recommend it. It is helpful in a few areas.
5 Stars Great book with lots of tips
No matter what your treasure, be it coins, bottles, or somethisg else, this book has great tips on where and how to find it. I originally bought a copy for my son and was so impressed that I bought another copy for myself.

4 Stars good reference
You may not find everything your looking for, but its very close to having it all. Very good reference.
4 Stars Military Firearms
Purchased for my son, who is a U. S. Marine so I can’t personally review but believe he has found this book useful.
4 Stars Military Firearms Price & Reference guide
This book was bought because military firearms were not includes in the regular book “Standard Catalog of Firearms” That book refers you to this book when a military firearm is encountered.
Prices I found in this Military book were opulent at best. Most of these guns do not go for the prices listed. This book however is an asset for reference. As far as price guide, you have to start somewhere but always research what you are buying or selling.
4 Stars militaria collector
As a collector of Militaria I have found this volume a great help with the addition of detail on bayonets that were supplied with the rifles.Making it twice as useful over past copies.
5 Stars Standard Catalog of Military Firearms: The Collector’s Price and Reference Guide (Standard Catalog of Military Firearms
Can’t do with it if you are a collector or dealer, Has the imfo that you need to price your guns, Very well written so you can understand it and get a general idea of what your items our worth in todays market.
